When shopping for plants, please consider supporting one of our many outstanding local Tucson nurseries. You are more likely to get an appropriate, healthy plant along with knowledgeable advice.

We are fortunate to have so many great nurseries in Tucson. Many carry a wide range of desert plants while others specialize — native plants, trees, cactus and other succulents, seeds, and even bamboo!
Here’s a list of Tucson nurseries that I’m familiar with. If you know of a nursery I’ve missed, please let me know and I’ll be happy to add it to the list.
Several of these nurseries offer events including classes, workshops, plant sales, musical events, food trucks, and more. In fact, there are so many fun events, it’s hard to keep track of them all. So we’ve put them all in one place in our Tucson Gardening Events Calendar.
Some nurseries have seasonal hours,
so please check before making the trip!
